Replacing old tv

I’m wanting to upgrade old tv with newer bigger model. Any suggestions. Have PleasureWay Excel, 2009.

I used a Samsung T22C350ND in my 2006 PW Lexor TD


it replaced an older 17 or so inch


I fabbed a little bracket to mount it on the swinging door


it is DC native, so low(er) energy use


has a media player and usb so I can play 200 movies from a thumbdrive, rather than boxes of dvds


I also have a similar samsung in our guest room a 32", also native DC ( look for the models which use a transformer)


they both came from costco, $130 and $160


the 32" wouldn;t easily fit in the van the way we use it.


I have seen large monitirs in vans though

the tv is a 21 or 22" it came for costco, I do not thing that T22C350ND model is still available

...also has a headphone out which worked perfectly with the van audio system

I have a 2008 GWV. 3 yrs ago I replaced my tv with this:

At the Time I paid $130. I wanted a small DC unit with more modern connections and a built in dvd player. I ended up adding on a Roku to make the tv smarter.
If I had to do it again I would look for a 12vdc smart TV with USB inputs.

Skyworth is a popular brand which is also popular with long haul truckers. They are ruggedized for use in a vehicle. They are available over the interney and at large truck stops. I have had good success with Skyworth with a built in DVD player.

I added an Amazon Firestick to an older 19" 1080P non-smart TV in my RV, and love it. I couldn't find a 19" 1080P TV anymore.

The Firestick is so good, I bought another one for a Samsung smart TV, because the UI is better than Samsung's. And this way, it's all on one account and both have the same remote control button layout. Plus, the Alexa PTT voice command feature built in the remote is sometimes useful.

One last comment that bears attention. If you're on a capped data plan, the Firestick can adjust the download speed under Settings/Preferences/Data Monitoring/Set Video Quality. It doesn't tell you the exact download speeds but gives you a choice of Good/Better/Best. Using "Good' dropped my daily usage from 10GB/day to 2 GB/day. The nicer weather also helped .
