Michelin - Agilis CrossClimate LT245/75R16/E + Dill TPMS

Expensive day at Costco today, almost $1000 for new rubber and sensors. I decided to go with Michelin - Agilis CrossClimate LT245/75R16/E. Very quiet on highway, good on corners, van is going very straight with hand off. Took just a few miles to reset new TPMS Dill sensors after they programmed them in with new IDs. Time will tell how good the tires will be in wet or icy conditions.

I put those on my Chev in May ( same size)


in the end my OTD price ( after rebates) at discount tire was $787.01


I'm happy with them- especially in the wet

My tires were $754 installed, and TPMS sensors Dill 433 MHz $176 installed.

I had a set of Michelin Agilis CrossClimate tires installed early last year. They seem to be a good tire but I don’t know why Michelin dropped the warranty.

it appears to be a softer rubber compound- possibly better grip

I have the Michelin Agilis and have not received any notice of the warranty being dropped. I do know they have discontinued the Michelin Defender and no longer manufacture it. There are still some new /old stock. If you find them it is best to check the manufacture date and warranty.

Warranty wasn’t included with these tires. I asked Costco why, they didn’t know. I based my purchase decision on my past experience with Michelin and multiple positive reviews on Agilis CrossClimate.

They appear to have done away with the Agilis mileage warranty.
But then they talk about pro rated mileage in the warranty, but don't say how they prorate them. All the other LT tires still have a mileage warranty!!

They dropped the tread wear mileage warranty.

I went to the Michelin warranty page you linked above and looked at the 2019 warranty flyer listed there:

This flyer is dated 11/17/20 on bottom of last page. There are no AGILIS/CROSSCLIMATE tires listed under the Light Truck, SUV and Crossover Tires tread wear mileage warranty section.

This is consistent with information from NTB, Tire Rack and Costco.

Either way a tread wear warranty doesn't help me because I don't rotate my tires. According to the Michelin Passenger and Light Truck Owners manual tire rotation is required for a tread wear warranty. This is what it says:

"In order to maintain the treadwear warranty on your tires, the tires must be rotated every 6,000 to 8,000 miles (10,000 -12,000 km), or as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer, whichever rotation period is less. Failure to rotate the tires as provided herein voids the treadwear warranty"

Costco refused to install my Michelins because my 2005 Roadtrek 190 is considered a "Motorhome". Since I'd ordered and paid for them then waited a couple of weeks to get them, I went ahead and had them installed elsewhere. Now Costco won't give any guarantee or even rotate them. I guess they are all lawyered up.

Since I'd ordered and paid for them then waited a couple of weeks to get them, I went ahead and had them installed elsewhere. Now Costco won't give any guarantee or even rotate them. I guess they are all lawyered up.

Perhaps refusal to install was related to accessibility to jack or hitch lift points or high weight issues. In my case, I had marked jack points and Costco put an experienced person to service my van. They lift my van’s front with 2 jacks and did rear wheels one at the time. My van was almost dry at about 7K lbs.

I am Costco member but I buy tires at Discount Tire. They will match Costco and service is better. No problem on my Roadtrek 210.
