96 rialta 2.5 5 cyl gas engine runs bad cold

engine idle rough 7 miss will not take gas right no power for about 2 minutes then runs pretty good cleaned throdle body 7 iad any info will help thanks

could be :


your IAT ( intake air temp sensor )


coolant sensor


cold start injector at the intake end ( driver side )



1) verify if you have any voltage at cold injector when cold ( before starting engine but ign "ON")


if so , start engine disconnect it : same or worse


if worse,reconnect, if same could be it …..


next :


disconnect coolant sensor


same or worse ,if worse


reconnect if same could be it ,



disconnect IAT ( intake air temp )


if worse , reconnect …..
