Does anyone know where the open door alarm is? So far two chevy dealers and my Haynes manual can't answer the question

"... Its been a while since I've done it on a van that old, but I'm pretty sure its just to the drivers side of the center console under the dash. the dash face may need to be removed to access it. It was just one plug and two 8 ml bolts I believe. If it were me though id leave it not working and enjoy the peace and quite. ..."

Thanks. My problem is that the alarm is working and the noise is annoying. It sounds like it is coming from that area so I may have to remove a panel or two to find it. I was hoping to easily locate the switch and disable it that way, but this option will work as well.
