Hawaii Resident wants to purchase/register Class B on Mainland

Even a new vehicle can be registered in Vermont by anyone, not necessarily residents of Vermont. That site is not accurate. Check the actual Vermont DMV under Vehicle Registration.

    EV Camper Vans?

I Told Them My Opinion I participated in the Winnebago survey and stated that I would need to be able to drive 5 hours between overnight recharges, and I stand by that statement still. Turtle Island (North America) is very large, and trips can take many days, even with two licensed drivers.

Do you sleep in your Class B or use it as a travel vehicle?

We Sleep in the Van We sleep in the van, as with so many other respondents. The Solis PX is plenty big, and we spent 125 nights in it last year. We are happier visiting friends if we can stay in our own camper.

    Solis Winnebago Owners

I just picked mine up on the day you posted, a Silver PX. How can I help you? What questions do you have?

Best way to order a Winnebago?

Isn’t it a bit disingenuous for you to be saying «*they*» instead of «*we*» about Panoramic, since you are part of the company?

Are there any mainstream Class Bs with a full size or large desk / working area?

Yes, you could certainly do it in a Revel. You can also choose a permanent stopping point for the ved which is higher than the standard stop. Folks have posted on FB how to set that. We are looking at a Winnebago Solis PX for a similar purpose. With the Murphy bed in its upright position...

Winnebago Revel 2021 - water lines question

What they say on FB There are a couple of threads on the FB group saying that if you keep the heat on, keep the area under the sink open, it should be fine. Very useful group in lots of ways, check what they say instead of my attempts to paraphrase.

The Evolution of an RV Shopper, or How I Got Here

B as daily driver We live on a busy street in Toronto, with no driveway nor garage. City ordinance does not allow any vehicles above 17 feet to be parked on the street. Furthermore, everything is very tight for parking at stores, entertainment venues, and the like. So we could not use it as...

Looking for which Promaster/Transit platform models will seat 6 or more

Yes, thank you, I would like to see your comparison! We are still trying to decide which campervan works best for us.

    1986 RT, too old?

Okay, based on my research, the airbags are not the problem. Roadtrek even today does not have SRS for other than the front two seats. I wrote them to check this. The greatest problem with the RVS is the potential for the back part to come aloose and become projectiles. Roadtrek said that its...

    1986 RT, too old?

I have begun to do some research on motor home safety and Dodge Ram safety. You bring up a good point, but one has to know the rate of motor home accidents and consider the risks. I am still checking this. Thanks so much for the concern.

    1986 RT, too old?

Good point. I still feel limber and my cousin has offered to help me learn about the systems. I hate to give the $$ away now, and agree that a brand new one makes sense at an older age.

    1986 RT, too old?

A partial decision I want to thank everyone for the ideas and input. I'm going to let this "opportunity" pass me by and probably buy a more expensive/newer one. Maybe in the $40-50K range won't make me feel so much is being lost from retirement savings. Thanks again, folks.

    1986 RT, too old?

I am really not handy with the car aspects at all. Dad trained me carefully on home repair, including carpentry, electric, and plumbing. As he didn't know a thing about cars, I didn't even know how to change the oil. Sad but true.

    1986 RT, too old?

It's really a conundrum because we can theoretically afford any price of Roadtrek, but at our ages (47 and 53) we feel like it's not a good use of savings to buy something expensive. If we turn out to need the money in retirement, we will be sad. And so many sellers just seem to misrepresent...
