It takes a lot of self-confidence to walk away mid-deal. Good on you for being able to read the writing on the wall before it became a trade-your-soul contract.
I've never understood why so many dealers think that they have to tell buyers what THEY think you want to hear, when generally all we want is the truth. I would assume they thought he wouldn't buy if he couldn't get the rig in a short time, and the truth means about as much to an RV salesman as it does to a politicianThe "we have an open slot" routine false promise seems to be getting more common now, with the long leadtimes.
