Armoire
Does anyone know the price of an armoire for a 2004? Are they easy to install? I like the extra storage it provides, but I'm not sure I if I will like the idea of the inside feeling more closed in. Thanks.

Re: Armoire
The armoire on the Great West Van Legend is MSRP $767 factory installed. That would give you a ball park start. That's not Roadtrek but Roadtrek does not have a magic bullet to do for much less I would think.

Re: Armoire
Hi,
Here's a link form an older thread about the add on armoires. Follow the inks to the Mobilife
threads for pics of them with some info about the construction, but I didn't see anything about price.

But you could always email them (Mobilife) and ask. Apparently they ship to the US. They do monitor
their email.
The armoire pictures are embedded in this thread

Re: Armoire
Check out the storage dept of Home Depot,Lowes, etc. Find a cupboard, cabinet, closet that fits your space-- they make then in several "wood" colors now, or white. Presto! Probably under $100.

Re: Armoire
It'll definitely be cheaper there.

Re: Armoire
Jim,
If you get a cabinet from Lowes/Home Depot, please post your thoughts, pictures and installation info, into this thread. It would be a great piece of info for the forum.

Re: Armoire
I had a look at Rona which is a Canadian version of HD or Lowes, but didn't find anything that
I thought would work for us. It's not surprising because as home reno stores go, Rona is a poor
imitation, imo. I'll check out our nearest HD and Lowes (neither are just around the corner from us,
unfortunately) over the weekend, and perhaps in the US next week when we're down there, to see
if they have anything that looks interesting and do-able. We could sacrifice our 3rd seat for a nice
looking extra cupboard/cabinet.

Re: Armoire
I took a quick look at HD and didn't see anything that would work for our needs. Right now we have removed the 3rd seat and used the 2 drawer stand from between the twins beds. It works for now.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Armoire
Not a bad idea, but we were hoping to get a little bit more vertical storage, for hanging
something up, or maybe for shoes and socks (what you put on before exiting the van?).
It's still better than just a 3rd seat, though I'd say.
If we find anything interesting, I'll post it up.
