Sprucing up

Hello everyone, getting closer to spring so I am thinking alot about my 1998 Ford pleasureway. As a lot of you know it is very small. Can't see two people in it but as a single traveller its perfect. But having spent all last summer in it I think it needs a bit of sprucing up. It has very few windows but I spend most of my time inside sitting in the turned around passenger seat. I have a screen on that window so when I roll it down I call it my screen room lol. Anyway has anyone brightened up any old class b and how. Also any other tips and storage ideas would be appreciated.

Light blue latex paint and some bright wallpaper has made a huge impact in my van. The wood grain of the cabinetry was too dark and reminded me of the 1970's. Now, it's bright and modern.
Inexpensive, easy and can be done piece by piece. So worth it! Also, changed all the gold hardware to black.

Wow that looks great. I thought about painting all the wood but what a big job. Just doing the doors might just brighten it up enough. Love the wallpaper. Thank you very much for the help.

Exactly! I removed the doors to primer/paint them. Much easier than painting the entire cabinetry.

Another simple/cheap/easy upgrade I did was to change out the old house lighting to modern LED ones which were super cheap (Amazon) and easy to install. They have dimmers too which is nice.

I also replaced the curtains with something more light and airy.

Mine is a little smaller than yours, 19'6". Not much wall space to change and very few windows but I think even a little paint and new front of fridge will make a huge difference. I am a retired woman. I travel in the summer and spend a lot of time in the camper. I downsized from a 25' so still struggling with storage. I am changing out the lights this year. Thanks so much for the good advice.

Mine is 20 feet long, same size as yours. That refrigerator has two screws holding that plastic piece at the top of the door. If you take out the two screws and remove the plastic piece, you can take the wood panel out and either paint it or wallpaper it and put it back in. Amazon has lots of wallpaper. Some are pre-glued and you just wet them with water and squeegee them on and others are peel and stick. Regarding the cabinet doors, you could just use masking tape and a paintbrush, with a quart of paint. Then you wouldn't even have to remove the screws that hold the doors on. Obviously, you don't need to paint the inside of the doors. However, you'd probably need a screwdriver to remove the handles, because painting around them would just not look very good.

Nice job, on my 1996 PW , I discarded the microwave and converted the space to Pot &pans storage and bread box. I also moved the spare tire rear door rack (with minor mods) to the front and added an aluminium storage box in place of the rear rack. You can find some details in my photo album on the forum. Have a nice day
