Its built in to every battery and they have a phone app for monitoring and control. I can read each of my battery's or get a combined readout. I am not sure of other brands but this type of Lithium is Not prone to fires.

Nothing special about Renogy, lots of batteries, including our SOKs do the same.

You are totally missing the point of primary and safety control.

Lifepo4 can cause fires, but are much safer than lithium ion batteries in phones and Teslas.

This is from this article and explains it pretty well. Redundant control with primary and secondary control is to prevent these issues as much as possible while preventing BMS shutdowns that often require a special procedure to restart. Any big battery can start a fire if it shorts out, including lead acid wet and AGM versions.

I have the Renogy charge controller for Lithium on my system, its been in and working fine for the past 3 years on my shop solar setup.

That is exactly what I am talking about, the charge controller is controlling things, not the BMS which is just communicating and watching for the controller messing up or battery failing. If those issues show up, the BMS will shut the system down.

The earlier poster that I had answered, and then you responded my post to, stated that he was using the BMS ONLY for charging and safety, and that I don't think is a good idea. Your system does not do that because of the charge controller.
