RT Zion 2021 Electrical Problem BS2 L3 Battery

Hi all. New to this Forum. Have a Roadtrek Zion 2021. Problems with electrical failures since 2023. The Ecotrek System for solar. La Mesa RV San Diego now (2025) says my BS2 L3 battery has failed. BS2 corp now says the L3 battery is no longer made And now I have to replace whole all batteries with the BS2 corp’s M1 batteries and change EcoTrek Panels over $6K. Is there another option? Also, La Mesa RV has severed their relationship with Roadtrek. Stuck now, even tho I have a 5 yr warranty. So upset.

Number one - Avoid La Mesa. They are hopeless and super expensive. The covid year 2021s can be problematic. Number 2... if you are on Facebook, join the Roadtrek Zion and Simplicity owners page. BTW... the batteries are KS2, not BS2... (BS might be more accurate... lol)

For your current issue, there are two recommended places to get competent Ecotrek testing and repairs in California. The first is a man in Carpenteria who has worked with Roadtrek forever... used to travel around the state as a mobile tech... but now works from his home area.

The second is an exceptional company called Edge Vanworks, up in Livermore, near San Francisco. I will assume that they are not cheap, but they will give you a system that will work - either new KS2s or an even better system. They are likely far from you, but it is worth the trip to get it done correctly.

BTW... your warranty would be with the new Roadtrek company and they are only giving 2 year warranties.

(the 5 year warranty died with the old Roadtrek bankruptcy in 2019)

I purchased the RT Mar 2021, new, and bought the 5 yr warranty offered by Portfolio One RV Extended Service Agreement.
