I just purchased the 2014 Legend EX during my test drive we noticed some squeaking and my salesman agreed his service folks would make adjustments. Well as it turned out they have localized the squeaks to the bathroom surround. Has anyone had similar trouble and any advise on how to silence the squeaks? It sounds like riding in a styrofoam cooler...

Congrats on your new rig.

Our 2014 Legend SE has no sounds of that kind at all. It is possible to get very minor rattles from the fold-out privacy doors--Great West has since gone with magnet stays instead of the straps and snaps that we (and probably you) have. Never heard anything like a squeak, though. Something must be rubbing somewhere. May be a project to track down. You should definitely insist that it get fixed. Your Legend should be nearly silent from the inside. The cabinetry is very well-built--one of the reasons we chose GWV.

When we took our GWV for its shakedown cruise we noticed an obnoxious squeak that we found to be coming from the bathroom doors. It was caused by the magnets at the bottom that hold the doors shut rubbing against against other. We haven't found a permanent solution yet but the temporary fix is to put scotch tape over the magnets to create a barrier so they won't rub against each other. It's a temporary fix as the tape eventually gets worn away and has to be replaced. Tried electrical tape but that was too thick.

I wonder if the thin plastic used for the screens of smartphones, cut to the right size, and held with tape, would work.

How about a thin coat of epoxy?

BTW: Do your doors have the older setup with straps and snaps holding the fold-out privacy doors in place, or the newer one with magnets all around? Our van has the former, and we have never experienced this problem.

Good ideas on the smartphone plastic and epoxy. To avanti: we have the older setup with straps and snaps. We retensioned those and put on heavy felt bumpers. Coffeemaker had same issue with magnet squeak and temporarily fixed it with scotch tape also.
