Didn't drain water pipes before flushing with antifreeze

Hi, I am interested in thoughts.... In my haste to winterize my travel trailer I flushed all faucets and drains with antifreeze. However, I realized after the fact that I failed to drain all of the water first using the low point valves. The trailer is in Washington State until May, I'm in...

City water coming out antifreeze port

Hello all, I just opened my 2022 GeoPro fbs, it's been winterized and stored since last fall. When I attach a hose to the city water inlet, water comes out of the antifreeze inlet. Am I failing to remember to open a valve somewhere? I am getting plenty of water in the sinks and toilets. I think...

    Plumbing Antifreeze leak--Observation

I do not know exactly why this happened, but I thought I would share looking for a possible explanation or of it happens to someone else..... I winterized the plumbing with RV antifreeze as I usually do. Started by blowing out all the lines then pumping in the propylene glycol rated to 50...

I am in the process of winterizing my 2020 Seneca 37TS in preparation for temperatures in the twenties next week here in southern Texas. Winter Question for Black and Grey Tanks

Hey All, The better half and I live in our Jayco full time in Washington State and winter is almost here. Last year our black tanks froze so this winter I was wanting to not have to deal with that again which leads me to my inquiry. Is it ok to use antifreeze in the tanks and everytime we have...

Accidentally connected city water to antifreeze inlet

Currently camping and we pulled our 2022 Rockwood Roo 233s in late last night when it was raining, dark, and cold. We accidentally connected the city water connection (which was using a pressure regulator) to the anti freeze inlet instead of the city water connection right next to it. The water...

Use of RV antifreeze while staying in the RV

Would there be any reason why I shouldn't use some RV antifreeze in the grey and black tanks after dumping them (to protect the dump valves) when staying in the RV with temperatures in the mid to low 20s during the night and the low 40s during the day? My RV is parked "permanently" at an RV...

    Winterized camper

I’m knew to the forum and I’m not quite sure if this post is against the rules or anything. This might also be a silly question, but we are new to this! Hello! I’m new here & to rv life. My partner and I just purchased a 2017 Salem a few months ago and just moved in for full time stationary...

Inability to get antifreeze in the water system

Hello Everyone, Newbie here...not new to motorhomes but new to Dynamax. I have "copied the mail" on this forum for several years, and find it to be one of the best. Here's my question. I have just recently purchased a 2023 Dynamax DX3 34KD and am in the process of winterizing it. I've blown...

Used car antifreeze in gray and black tank?

First winter with a rv, I'm opting to air out my fresh water lines with air, blew them twice so far, will do again. Little came out the second time. Car needs the antifreeze changed, it's only a year old, wondering why i couldn't pour some in the toilet and sinks?

    Winterization problem

Hi, I have a 2021 Jayco Melbourne 24L purchased this past Summer so this is my first winter prep. I've had a 5th wheel in the past so I'm not a complete stranger to this but... I think I followed all the required steps: holding tanks are drained, lines are drained through low point drain...

    Cottage antifreeze question

We have a 2023 40CRS equipped with a Seaflo water pump. Does anyone know if this pump is equipped to draw antifreeze into the water system? If not what are other owners using to get the antifreeze in the system? I'm currently not at the RV but from the picture I took of the fresh water system...

    water leaking from Antifreeze inlet

I was breaking down this morning and noticed a steady drip of water from my antifreeze inlet at the rear of the camper next to the city water inlet, (only with city water connected). Also, when I emptied my gray water it was extremely full and I know we didn't put more than a couple of gallons...

Getting antifreeze out of fresh water tank

Its a 21 HS 2901, 40 gallon tank. I put a water hose to the city water connection till the water ran clear, the low point drain valve is open, should I completely fill the 40 gallon tank and let it drip out? Is there a better way to drain the tank?

    Winter use - 2022 Sequence

Newbie here. Taking my RV to Mammoth this weekend and have been reading all the different threads on winter use. Just wanted to see if my plan is on the right track. Temps at night 20-22 and daytime 29-40. We have electricity and water at RV park. My GF will be staying inside while I'm off...

Truma AquaGo & CP Plus instead of Rotary Switch. Elec Antifreeze

There are quite a few mentions of the lackluster control panels for the AquaGo systems with the Rotary switch and how they tend to stop working. Our 2nd unit died this fall and I need to replace it again. I need one because we use the electric antifreeze kit when using our rig in winter months...

Antifreeze Not Pumping to Kitchen Sink

We are winterizing our camper and got antifreeze to all faucets except inside kitchen. We can hear the pump running, but nothing coming to this faucet. It worked fine to bathroom, shower, outside shower and outside kitchen sink. What could we be missing or doing wrong that it's not pumping to...

NoBo 19.6 Winterization - Antifreeze intake

Just for reference anyone winterizing their NoBo 19.6, there is an antifreeze intake tube inside the left side "nightstand". The tube is connected with a valve inline with the line coming up from the fresh water tank. Turn the valve so it is in line with the tube. Place tube in jug of...

    Antifreeze input?

Hi all. I have a 2010 Rockwood mini lite (20 ft) that we just recently purchased. I think I have just about everything figured out on it, except where does the pump draw in antifreeze for winterization? Most of the threads and videos that I have searched have newer models that has the antifreeze...

    Winterize confusion Why use antifreeze?

So whats the deal with antifreeze? I have drained all tanks. Then blew out the plumbing system with air So why flood the system with antifreeze? Seems like a PIA to use antifreeze, especially when it comes to flushing the lines come warm weather?

What antifreeze are you guys using?

I have been using Camco that came in a concentrated form which you add water into to dilute. Can't find that anymore. It was all propylene glycol, and now I cannot find any PG stuff for the life of me anywhere. Everything seems to be some sort of blend of alcohol and PG which I don't want to use.

What am I doing wrong? (adding antifreeze)

Ok, it’s got to be something simple right?!? :) When I power on the water pump, no matter what lever configuration I use the pick up tube just blows air out and bubbles over the antifreeze. I can’t get it to suck in for the life of me. Any ideas?

Water Coming out of Antifreeze Inlet

I have a 2020 Geo Pro 16BH and the past few weekends, while hooked up to city water, there is a steady drip coming from the antifreeze inlet port. Any ideas why this is happening?
