carefree awning, on my class b

at a campsite and started to put my carefree awning out on my Travato, goes out about 5 feet then sounds like its just spinning, but not continuing to go out. stop for 10 min then it will go out a little more, but not it appears to be out about 8 feet not wanting to extract any further. it will go back in , i did check that.


has anybody else experienced this with a carefree motoriized awning?

Is it the Carefree Freedom Freestyle legless awning? I have the instructions for manually retracting it, if you need them.

We also had the awning not want to go out all the way, but then it also wouldn't retract so DH had to do it manually. Unfortunately, we can't get anyone to look at it before September.

not legless, but i do thinks its a freedom version. It goes back in and rolls up just fine, just won't go out that far. after I put it back in, i'll leave it alone until i get back home.
