Adding 2nd solar charger

so my foldable solar panel with the battery tender solar charger is doing a fine job of keeping my engine battery charged and now I am wondering if it would be okay to splice in another feed to another solar charger to keep my coach batteries charged at the same time - what do you think?

The panel is 70 watts, 2 100ah batteries

Well, I reckon I'll have to wait until I purchase another panel before I hook up another solar charge controller for the coach batteries.

Probably require second charger/controller if panels have different voltage. Roadtreks have little real estate for panels so our son designed system with a 100 W and a 315 W panel. These are approximately 12 V and 30 V respectively and he used two controllers. The battery suite is 360 A-hr LFP at 12 V nominal (14 V actual). The battery suite in our fifth wheel is 48 V nominal since power comes from panels at 90 V.

Really? For little real estate, RT seems to provide quite a bit of solar compared to
the class B WGOs whose solar option is only 100 watts.

Agile & Zion, up to 300 watts

Sprinters, up to 470 watts

XL Sprinters, up to 600 watts (with warp core option)

RT has little space compared to our 5th wheel which has 1400 W and we could install two more 235 W panels if we so desired. RT has lower power requirements so economy of scale
