Oh, PW also agreed to leave off their signage on the outside of the rig. Will help me do stealthy city boondocking.
I also asked that they not add a bathroom sink. Their engineering department is supposedly looking into that.

Based on your post, it sounds like you got a near identical price as me? If you did better, don’t feel badly about telling me! No matter what, I have no regrets about my deal.
The way I looked at it, dealers would love as many units as PW would send them, so they can’t get enough. But a custom order guarantees them a unit to sell with minimal effort and minimal expenses. So, the price they can command on the on-the-lot units isn’t really related to the price of a custom order. For example, I had been monitoring the units listed on RVTrader, and of the 20-or-so ascents listed there, about half were indicating “sale pending” presumably before the unit even hit the dealership... because the picture of the rig wasn’t even up yet. I further guessed that these dealers could be patient and sell them for close to or at msrp. Pre-covid, it seemed like class b RVs could be had at 10-15% below msrp, so that was my goal.
