Roadtrek partners with Thule, unveils solar awning concept.
Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA – November 7, 2008 - - Roadtrek Motorhomes and Thule are pleased to announce that the companies have entered into an agreement where Roadtrek will exclusively offer Thule’s innovative line of box awnings on its line of class B motorhomes.
"Thule has brought many innovative products to the RV industry and we are proud to be aligned with such a progressive partner. Consumers know Thule for their quality, service and brand and we are happy to have them on board," commented Jim Hammill, President of Roadtrek.
To kick off the partnership, the companies will unveil a concept solar awning at Roadtrek’s display (#1056) at the upcoming RVIA National RV Trade Show from December 2nd to 4th in Louisville, KY. Thule and Dickson Textiles are developing a unique box awning with a solar panel integrated into the fabric. Several patents are pending.
This new high-end technology can completely change the way electricity is generated for the RV, dramatically increasing independence from generators and external power supplies while decreasing the impact on the environment. With electricity produced by solar cells, consumers reduce their impact on the environment, while improving their autonomy and enjoyment of the outdoor experience.
