Yeah, but Roadtrek says they are the no. 1 in North America still? WGO is no. 1 in USA. Jim Hamill is still in never, never land

LOL. How embarrassing.

WGO must be too expensive in Canada with the exchange rates as they are. Roadtrek has lower prices on their website for the Canadians. Pleasureway must do the same thing, and be the low price choice in their home market.

I noticed in the press release for the deal that Roadtrek slightly tweaked their claims. They are still deceptive but no more now than most marketing BS.

"Erwin Hymer Group (EHG) acquires Roadtrek, North America’s leading manufacturer of Class B motorhomes."

Since there is no clear definition of leading, I am not sure what it really means. I find it hard to think of a definition of leading that applies but I expect a true marketing person would put a spin on it.

"Roadtrek – for 25 years the no. 1 in the Class B segment"

A statement that will continue to be valid for eternity...

And, of course who knows what "no. 1" actually means in marketing speak but they were number one in sales for 25 years but not so much anymore...

It continues to be amusing...

Irritates me just a bit.
If a business' lead slogan is false, or at best; "misleading",
what does that tell you about the brand? :-/
Dishonesty does not fly in todays market, and can be very damaging...

I think Pleasure-Way supplies a lot of units to the Canadian RV rental companies. I suspect that is part of the reason they're #1 in Canada. I love the interiors of their units and the preciseness of the installed components. I guess my only complaint was the typical 1 coach battery they used to have. That has changed though and they even offer lithium battery packs now.
