It's great news for Class B builders. It's fantastic news for anyone hoping to get a newer used unit in the coming years.
We need several months (several years) of these high shipment numbers to ensure a good supply of future used units so that market regains some balance.

I would be nice to know what are the actual statistics for the base vehicle, Sprinter, PM, or Transit. I would not be surprised that we are seeing results of Sergio Marchionne leadership, Fiat has owns the Camper Van market there.

If Camping World is selling it under their name does Hymer still get the credit and the sales stats?

It is not sold as a Camping World branded product, it is a Sunlight which is a Erwin Hymer Group brand used in Europe that they are using for this model.

I wonder how CW will handle "their speciality van" in about 5 years? If the quality doesn't improve, I would imagine even the niche that they have targeted will back off...then what? Ron

Not sure if it carries the same warranty as the rest of the Hymer & Roadtrek products - 6 years.
Surely, CW is just an intermediary. If Hymer doesn't pay, the customer is SOL. Looking at these units, CW should do a lot of business on repairs. Maybe that's their model - low margin on these poorly built, but low priced vans, but make it up on warranty claims.
Looks to me that Hymer is still getting their regular margins, based on how cheap these look. So they have an amount in that price for warranty, or they buy an external policy or hedge for it.

Looks to me that Hymer had first quarter gains from building all those cheap units for Camping World. Really pumped them out. Now that has passed, the gap with WGO has narrowed. What I don't have a feel for is how Paseo sales have been doing and the ramp up of those units at WGO.

That is a major change with Winnebago topping 40% and ascending to number 1. Since Winnebago and Roadtrek both market Promasters that can't be blamed on the popularity of the platform.

Ok, I haven't been following the new market as much as you guys....
But it seems to me that Winnebago simply got their market share back because there was nothing being built by them between the VW based Rialto and whatever they started making on the Sprinter platform. Is that very summarized statement correct?

Yes, but I think they are referring to the more recent history (couple years) of Class Bs where Roadtrek(Hymer) and Winnebago have been topping each other in Market share..
