Default what type of paint can i use for lp stove??

Hi, I was hoping to repaint my lp stove top, its the metal type that surrounds the two burners, but its scratches and dents need some tlc. I was hoping to repaint it, but I am thinking it would need to be a special, or high heat type of paint. has anyone ever tried to repaint this before? I'm just a little worried the high heat from the flames would either melt the paint, or destroy the finish. let me know , thank you,,,

Are you sure it's painted now? Many of these have a black porcelain finish.

Mine is from an older 1997 roadtrek, it looks to be white paint of some sort, not sure what, but it has chipped away in spots, showing the metal underneath,,,,

You can get high temperature paint at most auto parts stores. It's designed for painting engine exhaust pipes.

You should also be able to try at appliance repair shops.

I repainted my stainless one with black high temp paint and it looks and holds up well.
