It's true that in a forum such as this one, answers can get misunderstood, applied in the wrong context, given without enough information, etc.
Having the customer contact the factory directly really is the best way to provide the correct answer. Even if it seems a little "old school".
I can't imagine, for example, Honda keeping track of all the Civic forums!
