Table mount redesign.

One of the mistakes I made early in the conversion process was skipping a table design for later, big mistake. I have a nice quickly deployable table now but it required too much of my time and funds. My original plan was to have an L post attached to the cabinet a la VW Westfalia. Being delinquent in the process it was too difficult to modify the microwave cabinet for an L post.

For the first version I used 80/20 hinges, it was a mistake. The table sagged due to the flimsy 80/20 hinges. These arms required continuous tightening up and additional support, a tent pole. So, I redesigned new arms from scratch. Used water jetting cutting for 4 main parts made from 6061 ¼” aluminum. I also had to redo brass main posts.

The table is now very horizonal after deployment so the tent pole needs to be lengthened.

Last picture shows my new tool/toy for countersinking, I can adjust countersinking depth to 0.001”, love it.

Does the table have the ability to hinge in the middle so it fits the smaller footprint when not being used?

How much were those Hinges?
