My sliding door seems hard to open or un-latch to close from the inside. There seems to be a lot of "spring" in the cables that the lever operates.. I've lubed / adjusted everything I can and still find I have to give the lever a good jerk to operate it. Some of the flex might even be in that 3" plastic handle itself?
I grew tied of it and made a new handle about 7.5" long. What a difference having more leverage makes. It's nice and smooth to operate now and easier to see. Photos for your entertainment.
