I am not familiar with them in actual use, but it appears from the website is all they do is reduce the pedal travel to wide open throttle, so you get more throttle opening for any given travel of the pedal. You really don't gain anything in actual performance as it doesn't change the power available at all, as you can get the same thing stock by moving the pedal further.
What is may also do, depending on how the diesel is programmed from MB affect the "rate of change" area of the throttle programming. This looks at the how fast the throttle is opened and at least on gassers would give an extra shot of fuel to cover the fast opening of the throttle. It is like you stepped on the pedal harder so it moved faster.
I think it might be in order to go out and consciously drive the van more aggressively. Use faster and more pedal than you normally do and see if you get more of a feel in response that you like. If you do think it feels better driven that way the unit might give you the same feel, but with less pedal travel, as that is really all it does.
With our heavy vans, I think a lot drivers are already using a lot of throttle to get them moving, so there may be less benefit than there would be with a lighter vehicle that isn't run at wide open throttle as much. When we have been next to Sprinter RVs, they sound like they are at WOT quite a bit.
