Papa Bear's bed is too hard...

My wife and I have had a great experience this year with our 2008 Roadtrek Adventurous RS, except...- she finds the cushions of the bed too firm for a good night's sleep.
Mattress toppers might be a solution if they weren't too bulky for storage.
Has anyone had experience changing the foam of the sofa/bed or come up with any other solution for this?

I hate those sofa-beds.

They are not comfortable to sit on,
and they are not comfortable to sleep in.
And you have to make the bed/table twice a day.

This old man wants to have an afternoon nap. What gives?
