Re: Mojovan progress
Installed Brake control, wired up the aux led backup lights, backup buzzer, added back up sensors, added extra ground wire since I will be drawing more amps when I install the battery to battery chargers. Tied to back up light feed to operate relay. Floor mat is finished, 1 3/8" gym rubber with carpet raises the floor back to the pre swivel height and feels great on the feet. Adds sound proofing and insulation. Have a weather tech mat to go over that.

Nice spot for the brake controller. The mat looks good too.

Re: Mojovan progress
Thanks, just test drove it, the thick mat puts my foot in a more comfortable position in relation to the pedals. The $15 amazon back up sensors work great. I had to muffle the back up buzzer, it was way too loud.

Re: Mojovan progress
Just finished the solar panel cover, made from heavy Sunbrella, I picked the color closest to the dirt, bird droppings etc… that have been accuminating on the top of my van. The cover slips over the front nose and over the edges, held on by velcro straps. Didn't design it to travel with it on but it looks like it would stay on the road. I'll have to test it.

Re: Mojovan progress
I am currently in Edinburgh, getting close to the end of our two months of travel, there sure are a lot of nice vans here on this side of the pond.

Webasto air top install
Had to finalize and install Webasto gasoline heater before the floor goes in. Not easy to find a spot in my layout. You will need cut away any existing flooring and find a spot with clear access underneath. I squeaked in to this spot. Behind the drivers seat. That is a 1/4" steel flange I made to compensate for the ridges in the floor. The mounting studs on the heater are only an inch long so finding a flat spot is ideal.

Nice work. What is the purpose of fabric covers over the solar panels?

Keep sap and bird crap off when idle. I'm running Lithium batteries so a float charge is not needed. Ideal long term storage of these batteries is 50%.

Installed floor insulation/soundproofing. Each section has MLV sandwiched between closed cell rubber. Frame work installed with doubled sided foam tape and a few screws. I'll be putting 1/2" Ply on top.

Haven't bought one yet, figure I'll get a wilson unit when I figure out which one to get. Needed to get all the antennas in so I can button up the roof and start on the ceiling.

Areogel insulation installation. Hard to cut due to reinforcement fibers in it. Very dusty unless you hit it with a leaf blower before handling. Tested with laser thermometer inside. uninsulated 107F, Reflex only 96F, Reflelex and Aerogel 81F or ambient temp.

Nice looking work mojo! I always thought these sliding cargo doors eat up too much needed inside space, too much trouble to open and close all the time and would be a pain in the butt most times. Not just Promaster, but all of them. I would like to see someone weld that cargo door shut and have a removable passenger seat, kinda like a class A pusher entry. Maybe a small bench seat for driver and passenger and no bucket seat for passenger. Looks like you have that ability to come up with something. Or...leave it all alone! Like I said before, quality work! Thanks for sharing.

There's an outfit in Australia that fabs fiberglass panels to replace the slider to a regular camper door. Shipping costs are prohibitive though.
