Default Little outside light refit Roadtrek 05

Ever wonder what to do with that Itty bitty light on the passenger side of the Roadtrek. This is what I came up with.
Rather than remove the housing and buy another one. I took the incandescent light bulb and broke the glass bulb. I made sure I did not damage the two post that held the filament. Using a meter I determined which post was connected to the negative brass case and the positive point at the tip of the base. Once I did that I soldered the wires that corresponded to the wires on an LED strip lights. The old cover blew off recently so I had to make a new one and I used scrap plastic. I drilled a hole at the bottom of the new cover. I then put silicone sealant to seal the hole. I put dielectric grease on the fittings and installed the bulb base back into the socket and Wala new lights.
