Default LED light upgrade

Just hit the " buy It " button on a set of LED bulbs. Not that we need lights too much up here in the summertime, but our travels outside next summer will put them to the test. Should be here next week and will get a chance to try them out with the rig in storage, am stoked.

Update! Installed LED's and man what an upgrade. All of the 1156 type bulbs were replaced, something I should have done in the very beginning. Low battery drain and the light output is much better for these blind eyes. We boondock all the time and can't wait to try them out come spring.

Hello marko, I bought them from a company in California called M4 products. I tried looking at all the ones on ebay but really didn't understand led output and such. M4 goes into detail into the led light questions and that's why I went with them. I probably could have got the same light on ebay for cheaper but I felt that a company that puts out the info they did was worth my money. If you don't have led lights, I would suggest trying them out to see the major difference versus the old style of bulbs.

This shop? http://m4products.com/single-contact-round-bases/

Looks to be good quality. The voltage tolerance specs they list looks to be great for RV use. I've had some LED bulbs burn out from from a charger that was putting out around 15 volts.

I agree with you re: switching to LED bulbs. I like them mainly for the lower current draw and that they don't get any where near as hot as incandescent bulbs. I have these: http://www.classbforum.com/phpBB2/vi...tart=11#p13323 in my van now. Each bulb has 120 LED's and draws approx 250mA (measured) compared to 1000mA (1Amp) that the incandescent bulbs used.
