I'm really surprised to hear that no one else has this issue.

I'm not sure there is any room to add the additional cover as suggested since there are solar panels on either side of the fan mounting. Unless the the cover fits, right on top of the white plastic fan mount area.
I too have an annoying vibration in the fan when traveling, and I agree the arm to raise and lower the lid is sloppy and flimsy. I have had several RV’s previously and not experienced this problem. My Rv is a recent purchase and I will be attempting to resolve this issue. Thanks for being the subject to attention…

Welcome to the Forums

I had that issue, I added a cover to vent fan so that i can have it open in rain while driving or parked.

That took care of the floppy lid

It looks like a trash can on the roof, it required me to re-engineer the antenna to clear it and it increased my height

but it's a good add

thanks mike. i've been getting by with some foam to dampen the vibration but would like to do better... was the cover you added this one?

It is a Fantastic Fan ultra breeze.
I spent about $38 7 years ago.

I has remained in great shape in the arizona sun and ozone

mounting is 4 studs are attached to the vent frame, the cover goes over the top, then washers over the studs and spring clips through holes in the studs

I did mine at the same time as i was resealing penetrations in the roof and had removed the vent so that I could stand on a stool and work on the roof through that hole. I then resealed/reinstalled the vent and put the cover on then

( this has been updated as I confirmed the make/model/cost)
