Default DIY dual pane test

Unusually hot day today so I took a infrared thermometer to the inside of the windows, passenger cab window un modified was 104f, the dual pane with ceramic film 86F. Full direct sun exposure on both.
Dual pane consisted of 3/16" plexiglass about 1/8" air gap fastened with 3M double sided tape and sealed with silicone around the edges. Ceramic 20% tint was applied on the inside before installing the plexiglass. It was with the effort. They help with sound mitigation too.
This vehicle is now the quietest vehicle I have ever owned.

I'd have some concern with plexiglass for windows. I put them in my garage and in less than three years they clouded up with a milky look. That was in a static condition. I would think in a moving condition that would accelerate.

UV causes that if the Plexiglass isn't UV formulated or protected from UV.
