My 12C190P has a similar 12V battery junction near the rear of the van. I stumbled across it when I was looking for a 12V+ wire to run to the trailer hitch plug.
Mobilife is bringing in replacement rails for the 170s/190s/210s. I was talking to Chris today and he said the 210 rails are coming in first. If they work out well they'll be bringing them in for the 170s/190s. The replacements are meant to be outdoors unlike the factory Roadtrek rails.
