A lot of good points here I personally would like a hydronic heating where hot water pipes are run through the floor then the heat rises heating the room. this gives you a nice warm floor and very efficient heating system. I know a person heating a shop, a little bigger than you are planning, with a 30 gallon hot water heater. Iknow it is more expensive but it will pay off in the long run.
