Roadtrek storage keys
I have a 1999 Roadtrek 190 Versatile. I would like a spare key for the drivers side storage lid. I have one key "Strattec" with a "1818" engraved on it. Local key cutting place does not seem to have a key blank. Any ideas where i can get a blank?

Strattec Security Corporation seems to still be in bsiness in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Shouldn't be too hard to make some progress.

I sent a message to Strattec asking how/where to get a key blank, waiting for response.
Thanks for the info.

Just do a search for Strattec 1818 or Strattec key, look at the pictures and order about six.

I tried that, looked at the face of both locks, even used a magnifying glass, nothing on the face of the locks. This is a challenging issue.
Thanks.

I search Strattac keys and a picture in the results shows a key blank identical to my 2003 Roadtrek storage key. That key blank is available at my local locksmith.
Slap it on a copier, post a picture of it, send one to Strattac. You can't be too far from a solution. It does not appear that 1818 is a key blank code so forget about the number.
If that doesn't work replace the lock and buy extra keys.

If it’s a key as above, anyplace that makes keys
can duplicate them. I had a handful of them made.

Thanks everybody. I solved my issue, I read the number as 1818, with younger eyes looking at it it turned out to be 181B. A local locksmith cut me 3 and I feel more confident now, if I loose one I am still in good shape.
