They have a different take for decor. If I saw correctly their regular body van was on a 2500 chassis, and if so, it has to be way overloaded by USA standards.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That thing looks HEAVY.
Pretty slick, though.

The first year for the NC3V chassis Airstream and others were building on the 2500 chassis. Airstream actually built on the extended body 24 ft. Sprinter with the 2500. If you remember, they and others took a year off building Sprinter Bs I suspect in regrouping and maybe unpublished failures, though I traveled the Alaskan Highway 2012 with a couple who had an Airstream extended body Sprinter on a 2500 chassis and a cargo carrier and two bicycles on the back. Great West Van from the get go built on the 3500.

Exterior storage is nice to have. Is it an actual van body or a cutaway chassis made to look like a van? I like the awning windows.

That is the extended body version and it appears to be a 3500 dually. I think it is a van with the back doors removed and replaced with the lower gate door and slide out.

Very good point. I did notice that the slideout (van door) is quite a bit larger than the stock Sprinter door. I just thought they modified the door pillar, but now I think you might be right, its actually a body thats designed to look stock. Very smart of them.

I agree it is a fiberglass body made to look like a van. Sportsmobile does the same this with their SPORTSMOBILE CLASSIC 4×4 – FORD CUTAWAY CHASSIS:

I think such a van should be called a B' (pronounced B-prime).
