I have not been following Roadtreks and the Agile very closely since their collapse. I would NOT be comfortable getting a new one either until they completely address the horrible quality issues during their demise. This said, two years ago I did extensive research and looked at nearly every class B van. On paper I was really captivated by the Agile and the option to order it with 4X4. Then I spent time in one and test drove one. Very claustrophobic and stuff falling off as we drove along. The front lounge seems like a great set-up but in reality it is not. The table that pulls out is super flimsy and the driver’s seat is super cramped and only turns part way around. The models with the propane delete option has some heater element behind the driver’s seat which basically eliminated the ability to turn the driver’s seat around at all. Proceed very carefully with an Agile.

Thank you for having the temerity to share what should be the Honeymoon part.
Agiles are the Junkyard Dogs of our industry.
Poorly designed. Cobbled together. With no regard for the customer the last few years.
And I apologize to junkyard dogs for the analogy, please forgive me.

I know the story about RoadTrek's death and resurrection in 2019, and you can find plenty of reviews and commentary for 2019 (and older) SS Agiles. And if you search, you'll find dealers advertising 2020 and 2021 SS Agiles. However, the RoadTrek website itself only mentions the 2019, with a "2021 coming soon" note.
So what's the deal? Are dealers who are advertising a 2020 Agile flat-out lying to get me to click? If so, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them.
As an aside, I do realize that ALL sprinter-144-based vans are in short supply right now, with long lead times and all that. My question is simply, has anyone actually seen/touched a 2020 or 2021 SS Agile?
Thanks!

There is a Roadtrek 190 Popular 2019 unit that Vooster found, brand new but with some of the old design features 190 owners love.
Let me find it, would this work for you, no more waiting in line.

Maybe mine is an outlier but I had zero problems, none, with my 2016 Roadtrek Zion SRT. AGM battery.

But does he know anything about Class Bs? He's Canadian, maybe he's got an "in" at Roadtrek or PleasureWay?

He would be too sophisticated* to be in any dealings with the last management team of Roadtrek unless he can control rattlesnakes like a Pentacostal Preacher.

If he has a Pleasureway, all the more reason for you to be choosing an Ascent.
Did you look at the 2019 Roadtrek out of stock, new unit, that Booster discovered?
Its not a Sprinter & its not a Pleasureway but would it work for you?

We debated the longer wheelbase Class Bs, but my wife really wanted the Sprinter and I really was holding out for the 19/20 footer, since we'll be driving in town a fair bit and will be keeping this puppy in our driveway.
Fortunately, I just put my deposit this afternoon on the new 2021.5 PW Ascent! More on that in another thread.

This isn't a legal answer but what many of us have discovered when buying in my case a 2004 Chevy labeled as a 2005 model Roadtrek.
And I do think labeling chassis units that are older than 2 years is rare.
Maybe they were units that were already purchased & were sitting in storage until the new production was able to restart.

Our 2018 RoadTrek is on 2016 MB Sprinter 3500XL. RV Manufacturer model year is confusing. I am shopping and now one of my first steps now is to check the chassis VIN to verify dates. Even 2 identical models side by side on a lot may have same RV year, and different chassis years. Seems to affect class B and some Class C.
I drive a lot of 1,000 mile in 24 hour trips, and do not spend extended days living in the unit. So the chassis year features have turned out to be important for me.
Especially with Sprinters because the 2018 chassis was a complete redesign.

I own and drive a 2014 Agile SS as my primary daily vehicleand i do love it on so many levels. Sprinters are not cheap to maintain but if you do they dont leave you on the side of the road. I have done many modifications but the basic floor plan is solid .
The proble is Agile service . It does not exist. I have called all over the country and the so called specialist are not . I have gotten crafty figuring things out .
The tanks never read corectly from day one . i let that go .If you get a 10 year or new nothing has changed . i feel in the smart worlld we live in its should be time for advancement I am not unhappy
If i were looking today o would look at the Winnebago Revel .its smarter, Lithium batteries, the roll up bed liiks like great idea, frige placement looks cool and the sliding door fully open lets alot of sunshine al that ant 4x4

I was able to purchase a 2020 SS Agile from La Mesa RV this summer. I am a first time RV owner. It has had minor but very annoying problems right out the gate that suggest extremely poor quality control. La Mesa was also terrible to deal with but I'll be taking the van to them in December, the first time I could get in, to have the repairs done. I would not buy another RT.

Welcome to the forum Howard!
It's not unusual for new rv's to have some issues. They would be much less aggrivating if the the dealer and manufacturer stepped up promptly to make things right.
Just curious if you know whether your Agile was built solely by the new Roadtrek, or one completed from stock the new company acquired from "old" Roadtrek?

How do you tell if the RT SS Agile is from the OLD or the NEW (Rapido) company?
I purchased my new RT SS Agile October 2021. The “house” part has a plate that said completed by Roadtrek August 2021. The Spinter chassis has a plate from Germany that said October 2019.
So if Rapido OFFICIALLY acquired RT July 5, 2019, then my “2020/2021 RT SS Agile” was made by the new Rapido company??? Also mine has the TWO years unlimited mileage warranty (NOT 6 years with the OLD RT company).
So confusing.

Get your vin and call the factory. They can tell you if it was started by the old company and completed by Rapido... which is probably the case. The assembly lines in the factories had quite a few rigs under construction when the staff was told to down tools and go home. The 6 year warranty was dead and buried with the receivership in Feb 2019 for all of us. The same day all of their employees were out of a job... about 900 of them as I recall.
A Sprinter completed in Oct 2019 would be a 2020 Sprinter. Then, as usual in the RV business, it was completed at the factory as a 2021 model. The RVIA allows up to 2 years difference between the year of the platform and the year of the conversion.
So... that's the story...
