Default Does anyone have a 2006 Roadtrek 210 Versatile? (need pictures)

Hello,
I just bought a 2006 Roadtrek 210 Versatile! It's pretty great but for some reason the previous owner removed both rear (middle) seats in front of the kitchen and put some plastic bins for storage.

*sigh* I bought it anyway because the price was good, it seemed relatively well taken care of, and she still had "all" the parts and the seats that she gave me.

But, I should've known, I did know, but we really wanted this model - it is a jigsaw puzzle, a difficult one. I figured out where most pieces go but there's at least one or two that I have no idea, and I can't figure out how the seats "removably" attached to their bases.

Of course there's little to no documentation on this, so it's really hard to figure out how to put it all back together, with no instructions and me not being the one that took it apart.

Does anyone have the same or similar year/model that they could send me some pictures of these seats? Specifically the bottoms with the bolt pattern to the bases, and the bolts on the floorboards - if it helps it's the kind where the headrest velcros to the wall, not the one-piece back style.

We'd actually like to be able to use these seats for travel and beds, so any help and pictures on how to put it all back together would be great and very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

On the theory that seats in the 200 and 210 are the same, the seats don't fasten to anything. They simply sit on top of the cabinet underneath. The undersides of the seats have cleats that key onto the tops of the cabinet panels. Apologies if this is not helpful.

Thanks for the replies,
This is somewhat helpful although it seems like mine did have bolts at some point - and they want you to use the back section to span the gap for the beds? It doesn't make a lot of sense, I will try to post some pictures this weekend.

Thanks

We have a 2006 210 Versatile. Unfortunately it is currently in storage. Will be going there in 2 weeks and can take some pictures then. If you can wait - can you be more specific as the pictures you want me to take? Also - the heater is located in one of the seats - is it still there?

Okay, thank you for the replies! I really appreciate it!

But now I'm even more confused. I think that I've got the driver's side middle row seat all sorted, but take a look at the passenger's in my pics (link below) - it looks nothing like any of the ones that I've seen on this thread or elsewhere.

I've assembled everything I was given and the exposed furnace is puzzling, and should it be worrying? With the "sleeper" piece slid forward for the twin bed, are you really expected to sleep with just the seat cushion between you and the furnace? Yeah, there's about 2-3 inches of clearance, but it seems to make no sense ... (Pic's #3 and #4 below, to clarify) And yes, we do need / want both front twin beds, occasionally.

It really does not seem like another piece of wood was ever there, and I wasn't given one either - there are no screw holes that I can see. Am I missing something, literally, or figuratively? Haha.

If anyone could take a look at these and comment, I'd really appreciate it even further,
Thanks,
Dave

Yes, as you can see in my pictures above the furnace is still there ... that is the most puzzling part - how that seat is supposed to go together ... ?

Thanks for the assistance, if you could send over a few pictures when you get yours out of storage, I'd appreciate it. I'm still looking for an owner that has the same type of seat assembly as mine ... haven't found one yet.

Thanks,
Dave

Looked at the pictures and the cabinet is not the original. I will try to give you some help from memory. Maybe the hole that is used to pull the cabinet top forward could be extended to accept the rod that holds the front of the seat in? Do you still have this rod? The rod is bent in two spots to allow the seat to move forward as you lift it to clear the front of the cabinet. Also the steel clip attached to the top of the cabinet above the furnace might be the clip used to hold the seat back against the bathroom wall. Do you see the holes on the bathroom wall where the clip was originally screwed in? Hope this helps. Sorry I can't get to the van just yet. Dan

Thanks for the reply. You *might* be correct about it not being original, but I don't think that is the case. The wood / veneer matches exactly, even the inside, and there are matching screw holes in the floor, walls, etc. that line up.

Take a look at some more pictures below, it shows the bracket at the rear, and the bottoms of the seats cushions, which are definitely original. You'll notice how there is a bolt pattern that matches on both sides, and how the driver's-side 2nd row seat shares this exact same pattern, unless the driver's side cabinet is also not original, but again, it doesn't seem that way.

I think that Roadtrek changed the seat design around this time, and I just got unlucky. I mean, I guess I can live with it the way that it is, because it seems like there is no other way. The manual seems to suggest that the bottom seat cushions are permanently attached to their bases, and that you're supposed to use the rear seat portion to span the gap, and maybe have the "optional" folding mattress to go on top of the whole ordeal. That's my best guess anyway - take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think, I really appreciate it either way.

The main question that still stands is the exposed top of the furnace - I'm still not sure what to do about that.

Thanks again,
Dave

Yes, I've seen this link, but thanks for trying - I don't think that this really applies to my 2006 model, but thanks anyway.
