Default Chassis recycling

I just noticed that Embassy RV has introduced a new program in which they take an existing stripped-out B-van and build it out into a "new" rig. I think that this is a very clever response to the severe shortage of new vans. The difficulty of acquiring new stock is hard on all the upfitters, and must be especially challenging for the smaller shops. Although their rigs are not my cup of tea (and they really are not as flexible as they try to appear) if you like their stuff this could be a really cost-effective opportunity for a refresh.

I agree that it's a clever idea but at the moment they're booked up through the end of the year with new builds. They got 60 Transit chassis in the past couple of months. I think they got zero Promasters and a couple of Sprinters and aren't expecting more 2022's of either. Maybe they'll have some down time between when they run out of '22 Transit chassis and when the '23 chassis start arriving so this might keep them busy. They've only done one conversion of an existing van so far so the idea hasn't taken off yet.
