Anyone removed fake roof window stickers on Roadtrek?
Anyone removed fake roof window stickers on Roadtreks?
I just purchased a new 2018 white CS. Since the RV will be parked outside, I don't want the black stickers to crack as the RV ages. It will be a pain to remove then and also different shade of white under the stickers.

A body shop or one that does car wraps probably wouldn't charge too much if they are decals. If they are painted on, no problem leaving them in place.

They are decals. A few people have removed them. The other RT decals remove quite easily. But these are more difficult. Hair dryer and googone seems to be the normal usage. Just don't expect them to remove easily... especially considering where you are having to work. I saw a photo where one person removed the two... but left the middle one. LOL

A plastic razor from the hardware store makes the job easier. Make sure you have extra blades.
Good call on removal. I removed all the decals on mine. Wish I could remove the skylight windows, too, but they’re real windows.

First thing I do is remover every single decal and sticker inside and out. The paint will fad differently so when you remove them it shows.

I've removed them from our 2008 and 2017 SS Agiles. The older one was really a pain as the decal had aged and brittle. The 2017 was easier but still not fun. Used a hair dryer and “eraser” that hooks to a drill. Good luck. It's worth it to get rid of them...really ugly.

We have kept the "three window" stickers, but had all the RoadTrek advertising removed off the rear door. Just went to a body shop and they had a tool that quickly removed. Charged us $20 to remove and polish the back door where the stickers had been.

Our 2008 still has them more than 10 years later and they look just fine.
It is always parked outside, year round and there is no cracking at all.
It's also an easy way to identify other RTs when going down the road, I always try to wave!

Removed all of the decals on the back of our RT 210, used Googone and a soft rubber putty scrapper, done it 1 hr. Polished it up and no trace of decal marking at all.
The 210 looks alot better without all of that advertising on it.

Roof vinyl removal
I had one get torn when an invisible, stealth branch attacked it at night on our first day of ownership of our brand new CS Adventurous. I removed the ones on each side but left the center one because I couldn't reach it. Plastic scraper, 3M adhesive remover, heat gun on low and allot of effort. I'd stay way from goo gone as it can damage the paint if left on too long.

Thanks guys. I got the fake windows and roadtrek.com removed.
I used Turtle wax sticker and label remover. It is a little stronger than GooGone.
Peeled off the sticker first.
Applied the remover and let it sit for 1 min.
Scraped the glue off very lightly with plastic blade or old credit card/gift card.
Do this 2-3 times then final clean up with soft towel.
Used polish compound to clean up then wax.

Yes, good job.
Not everyone who starts a thread returns to close the loop.
