Default ‘99 RT P questions...(WARNING:I’m a rookie)

Ok so I just bought this and have scoured the manuals and online and can’t find the answer.. 1) this RT has only one fresh water tank right..? And The fill is at the rear door pass side? I can’t find any other “orange plug” on this thing.
2) the bed in the back seems to be missing a board to complete the “king “ set up. I flip down the board (not sure what it called) but yet there’s a space (See pics). It’s as if a dinette table top would fit perfectly there but the only table mine has is the stowable one behind the drivers seat which won’t work. And I can’t figure out how to make the cushions fit to make the bed. On one of the pics, you’ll see a white, round thing that would seems to fit the dinette pole but I’m not sure. It‘ s actually the top of the storage box/bed. And sorry, I couldn’t get the pics to rotate and they’re taken from the top looking towards the floor.

You’ll also see where something used to be bolted to the side panel under the rear windows where the bed is.. there’s also the same thing about 2’ towards the back door. see pics). 3) I need various parts.. interior round light cover over bed, awning parts, maybe the bed board.. but not sure where to find parts.
Thanks in advance!

Default Aaand. Now I have a leak...

Where the fresh water fill hoses are spliced together just under the right rear quarter panel. I tried tightening the screw it but can’t get it any tighter. Is there a secret to stopping this leak? Some sort of tape maybe? Thanks!

The round dome light is still available, you can find it online or in catalogues. If you open it up you'll find some markings on it to figure out who makes it...I can't remember.

My van has the front table you have but also a rear table and a plywood spacer in the back. The table is some amount shorter than the slot so there is space to sit down...perhaps 12" shorter? A piece of plywood goes up front in the slot to take up that space. If you really need that table you can buy the pedestal and part that attaches to the bottom of the table.

I think the missing piece on the wall is a spacer. It is down near the bottom of the seat cushion right? It probably kicks out the bottom of the seat when it is in place so that it is not straight up and down. Totally useless if you never make the table/seating area in the back.

You might need some heat to get the hose to tighten snugly.

Here is my guess from previous situations I have dealth with. This looks like a repair made by a previous owner,(as you can see from the 2 different screw collars used, one of them obviously not stainless) and there is no reason to have a splice at this location. Standard water fill lines for these units comes in two sizes, 1-3/8" and 1-1/4". If the fill hose is a 1-3/8" and you try to make a splice using a barbed plastic fittings union from your local hardware store you will end up using a 1-1/4" standard hose fitting and it will be impossible to seal and the gap will always remain. Check with your local rv or marine parts supplier and get the right 1-3/8" I.D. fitting, use 2 full stainless collar of proper diameter and your problem should be solved, assuming you have a 1-3/8 line. Hope this is your case

Search Thin-lite LED109C Round Light Led. Backwoods Solar seemed to have the best price for the round light.

My van is a '96 190 Versatile, so it's a bit different. I believe that the main difference between the Versatile and the Popular is the sleeping direction. In the Versatile we sleep lengthwise (head on the passenger side, feet on the drivers side). In the popular it's head at the back, feet at the front. It's about 2" - 3" too short for me, so I have to sleep diagonally.

Our van has a single water tank. I didn't know that they had 'indoor' water tanks available back in '96. Our water tank is under the passenger side at the front. You can find it by following the water drain line back to the tank. If you have an inside water tank I think you'll also have the larger 'outside' tank in a similar location. The inside tanks are meant for cold weather, so they're not as large as the underfloor tank that is down low to keep the centre of gravity low. Our water fill is in the passenger door footwell. There's a flap that pops up and the orange plug is behind that. I'm not sure if the 'two tank' vans have two fill locations or not.

Some popular models have an option to set up the bed in a 'split' configuration. This puts a gap between the two sleepers and has an end table between. While this is less friendly, it makes it easier for both sleepers to get up to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Because we have a Versatile I have to climb over my wife each time I need to pee. If the bed was used in the 'split' configuration it may be missing the centre piece.

It sounds like your table (which fills in this section of the bed) is missing. It's pretty easy to make a replacement. Just measure and cut a pieced of plywood (or some pine if you want something a bit more finished). We had the opposite problem; our front table was missing so we built a new one. If you still want to use it as a table you'll need a leg (or two) and a socket. The socket is a standard RV part. We were able to find one in the parts bin of a local RV shop and they let us have it for a few bucks.

The cushions are another fun issue. In our van two of the backrest cushions fold open into two wedge shaped pieces and then fit back together to form one cushion the same thickness as the seat cushion. One of these pieces is missing (and Roadtrek can't supply new ones). We have enough cushions to cover the entire bed, but we have a low spot where we're supposed to stack the two backrests. We used to put the low spot at our feet, but recently we purchased a memory foam mattress and put it on top of the whole deal. We never used the back table anyway, so it's no big loss.

We have a board screwed across the back of the van that forms a lip on the edge of the bed. It keeps our bedding in place when we open the back door. It has a cutout of the door handle so that we can open the back door from inside. Perhaps something similar was removed from yours?

We also have a strange little compartment that holds a small pack of tissues built into the wall. It seems to have been installed at the factory.

A lot of the parts are standard parts that you can pick up at any RV store. The RV industry moves slowly and there are still new trailers built with some of the same light fixtures, awnings, etc. Amazon has a lot of them, but if you find a local RV shop they may have a bunch of parts in a bin and be willing to sell them cheap. We rebuilt many parts of our van almost for free this way.

The custom stuff that Roadtrek made is very hard to find, and includes things like the cabinetry, cushions and water tanks. The water tanks are one of the biggest problems because they're all custom made. I epoxied one break in our grey tank, but we still have two leaks right now (one only leaks when the tank is full, and the other is just a drip).

I agree with Blueboy1 that this looks like a repair that's failing. Our van is plumbed with a grey plastic pipe (pictured below). It's horrible to work with (not flexible, don't know how to glue it) and hard to get parts for. We did pick up a box of fittings from an RV dealer, but it isn't stocked at the hardware stores (I don't think it meets code for interior plumbing). I'm surprised that your van doesn't use the same pipe.
