Question 2015 Pleasure Way Excel : What are those things on the roof?

Hi there,

new RV guy here !
  • last year we bought a 2015 PW Excel and I am getting it ready for the season. I noticed 2 "bumps" on the roof and checked them out, they seem to be pipes of some sort. They are hollow (i.e. rain water needs to go somewhere) but I can't figure out what they are. They are on both sides of the van but not in-line (photo attached). Anyone know what they are?
  • In the roof above the passenger seat is a black plastic cap. I assume (!) its an antenna mount of some sort but I am not sure. Ideas?

Thanks!

Deleted my comment. I was looking at photos wrong. Yes- likely tank vents.

The pipes are plumbing vents for the kitchen and bathroom and the black "cap" is a satellite radio antenna.

Thank you for your answer. I think the plumbing vents are for the grey/black water tanks.

I agree the "cap" is an antenna but I don't know what for. As far as I know, PW built their last Excel series in 2015 specifically for a rental company. The antenna may be a dedicated GPS antenna for fleet management. That's a hunch. That would make it very useful for me.

Thanks!

As stated they are plumbing vents. They should have screens and a plumbing vent cap. The cap still allows ventilation and keeps water out. The screens keep any critters from building homes or nests in them

Interesting. There are no caps, no screen, just a hole. I better print some, thanks!

You're welcome even buying them they are relatively cheap around $5.00 - $10.00 each depending where you buy from
