Default planning exteria storage

planning exteria storage starting w/ 2 aluminum boxs.van in sig.
1.will hold my Yamaha generator bolted to front bumper.

plan to either fab a spare tire carrier or obtain a driverside carrier and flip it mount to pass. side rear door.
2nd box will be bolted to carrier. will hold Bar-B-q grill & car coal.

lid will flip down where the hibochie stlye grill will be placed.

future:
3. 3rd aluminum box will be where the sewer tube PVC holds addional house battery. so 2 house batterys planned maybe 3. 3rd will proballey be under right side of rear sleeper sofa.

edit: I have a cummings Onan 2800 generator that works fine I will be in a saltwater enviroment so thats the main reason to remove Onan 2nd reason free up tongue weight an use the Yamamaha. so Onan is for sale it's still attched to van an can be tested.

Big reason not to install a carrier on front bumper is the air flow for cooling your engine. The box will block off air needed for cooling the engine. Best to install a larger carrier in the tow hitch with extra support on the ends of carrier to support extra weight. Also, may need to add more support to rear suspension like air shocks to raise rear from sagging.

The box will be much lower probably 3-4” so blocking airflow will be minimized.

The box could be lowered down to air dam however this would interfere w/ what off roaders refer to as entry level for going up/down inclines.

What I’m concerned w/ is the extra weight 50LBs for gen-set probably 20 for box
Ruining the front suspension?
This is a tow vehical for my 24’Ocean crusier so the hitch is spoken for.
