Default Heater Element for Dometic Fridge

We have 2005 RoadTrek with a Dometic 3-way fridge. A repairman told me that the AC heater element needs to be replaced, but Dometic no longer provides that part. Does anyone know where I can find Dometic part number 17 37 71-02/3? Much obliged, Nick

Find your refrigerator model number.

This is the AC heater element for a Dometic RM 2354, RM 2353

https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-38506.../dp/B00T36ED7S

Other vendors had lower prices so look around.

That should do it. 175 watt. I’ve seen it for around $75.

BTW: Note that it's the same part number as the one hbn7hj directed you to. A call to the "dometicguy" might be in order to veryify but I'm guessing that it might work for many different models of that vintage.

I haven't gotten a response fro the Dometic guy a week after asking for verification that the part he has listed actually does substitute for the one called for in the manual.

Incidentally, if you go on ebay under "dometic refrigerator heating element" you will find quite a few.

That is probably because he thinks it is a dumb question. Buy it from someone else that offers returns. It will work.
