Has anyone tried this gadget? Looks like it would be handy to check the generator with for voltage, amps, watts and hz. Not a bad price if it works for all functions.

I haven't tried it. I don't have a generator but it would be handy to see what appliances actually draw. Like what does an 800 watt toaster draw if on a light setting as opposed to dark.......
The "Max power: 1875VA" might not be enough for use with an Onan 2800.
You cannot afford to not have this tool. I will find your phantom loads and possible leaks, See how much that TV costs you while it is "shut off" not. I love mine!!
