Default Best Swinging Bike Rack

Hi All,
Looking to mount 2 bikes for campground cruising. Needs to swing out of the way of our RoadTrek Adventurous back doors. Any good options out there?

welcome to the forums

there are many alternatives

we rented in Ireland and the rental had a bike hanger on the primary rear door ( with bike overhanging the other door)

I would probably favor a mount on the front of the van, adding a 2" receiver
good for those of us with rear door mounted spare tires

also allows you to see if something is loose

last trip an RV flew past us with swaying bikes on the rack... and a few minutes later we saw 1...then the other of their bikes on the highway

Check out the From She To Me YouTube channel. They have a Sprinter based PW Ascent with a swing-away bike rack that handles two Rad Mini E-bikes.

Try looking at the Kuat NV 2.0. you can add a swing arm. It is a two bike rack that you can also option up to 4. I have this rack and use it on my Jeep. We plan to move it to our Pleasueway Tofino when it arrives in a month or so. Good luck

Thanks - do you have the pivot arm yet? I'm not sure REI has them still.

I’ve been looking for a swing away adapter that has a high enough weight rating to carry my 200 lb.Vespa plus the rack. Thule’s is rated at 350 lbs. and might work but I would like one in the 500 lb. range. Has anyone seen one?
