Default Windshield exterior trim

The vinyl trim on the outside of the windshield has shrunk to the point it has to be replaced! The catch is, my auto body guy hasn't been able to find the right profile, all he has found is to narrow. The one on the 2001 rig is an inch wide, VW stock for the 2000 chasis is just over 1/2 inch.
Anyone know a supplier/part number for the right size?

From other Rialta sites, You need to use a Dodge Ram window trim cover. It is about 1" to 1 1/2" wide. The regular trim for the Eurovan is too narrow. Also watch for water intrusion on the drivers side that can drip down onto the transmission control module (TCM) and ruin it. You will be very hard to find a new TCM or a rebuilder. The TCM is located on driver side kick panel.

Thanks for the warning about the transmission module . . .

Is there a particular Ram model year that was recommended? I tried to find the post on other maintaince sites without any luck. Can you point me in the right direction?

Try this site: groups.IO message #2498.

"There are several possibilites for the trim (its does't seal anything, so its not a gasket).

The number is ET109B. It is sold by Gold Glass Group (GGG). Made for a Dodge Ram.

FT2030, a universal molding.

WBL F712 Weather strip (Black) (W/O Trim Groove)

There are probably others that will work as well."

This is what is in message #2498 on the Groups.IO site.

You need to join this group, as a lot of tech material is there in the files.
