Default Where is the fuel pump and the EVAP canister located at? 1997 Rialta 6V

My fuel pressure is reading 45 psi, and there's also a very strong oddor of gas coming out when I turned off the car.

I was getting about 10 mpg. Increased now to just 12.5 mpg (As it's pretty annoying since I see everybody else is getting between 18-22 mpg) after I replaced the following:

EGR valve and connecting vacuum hoses

Fuel pressure regulator connecting vacuum hoses

Transmission wire harness

Transmission valve body assembly

Transmission oil change with gasket and filter

Spark Plugs

Air filter

Coach Filter

Oil change

Now the car is surging, some times shutting off completely, the iddle some times drops down, etc.

I need to replace the fuel pump and most likely the EVAP canister, can anyone tell me where is it located and any tips on how to do it efficiently?
