transmission oil temp gauge

To have exact reading of the transmission oil temperature , I installed a gauge



found on the net at reasonnable cost , it is quite easy to install if you already have an oil cooler .....



bought a 1/2" x 1/2"" x 1/2" brass adapter ( $1.29)


on the T part , I tapped 1/8" NPT ( sensor thread)



Installed the adapter in line on the cooler entry line ( warmest )


connected the green wire on the sensor and a ground to the Rialta body .....



it works great , cheap cost , and reassuring !

The engine computer collects this information, but there is no gauge to display it. The prior owner of my Rialta installed a device called ScanGauge that plugs into the OBD port. It shows tranny oil temperature and lots of other metrics. Not the most handsome device ever made, but very cheap and functional.

Not bien too electonic wise,.....I never could get this info in my scangauge ......I know i have to learn !
