Default suspension bag blew

We seem to have blown out left suspension bag. Shop suggests new, custom made leaf spring and u-boldt rod instead of relacing bag. Does this make sense? Is it ok to do just the one side and leave the other suspension bag?

There's no problem replacing them with extra leaves, but you'd need to do both side at the same time. Those that have done it used a full length leaf added to the existing ones. In a few cases, they had to add 2 leaves to handle the overloading. You can get the bag at http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/.....ts_id=8266

We've tracked down where we can get new suspension air bags, but a fellow Rialta owner suggested we check pressure and pump up ones we have. We pumped them to 20 lbs/sq inch. A week later, without driving, they were down to 5 on one side and 10 on the other. Does this mean we need the new bags? If so, can we inflate and drive safely (carrying a pump) until new bags arrive ?
