Skylight Replacement Options

Does anyone know of a flat replacement panel for my dad's Rialta skylight? He has had problems with the current skylight leaking.

The skylight can be repaired by removing the inter skylight and you will see where it has cracked. Use a good airplane glue (MEK) on the inside and outside. This will fuse the plastic together and seal the crack. Also check on the caulking on the outside of the skylight as it will loose contact and let water inside. Rialta members (myself) have used eternal bond tape to seal the skylight and all the seams on top of the R. I am not sure if you can get a flat panel to replace the skylight, or a large piece of plexglass to fit might work, but you will lose the headspace that the skylight gives you. Skylight replacements can be ordered from a Winnebago dealer or Lichtsinn Motors, (641) 585-3213. The newer method of skylight replacement is to use the corner mounting brackets and not useing screws all around that crack the plastic. This is a known problem.
