Default San Francisco Rialta Owners

Hi , I am new to the forum and would love to meet some owners of the Rialta and determine if the model meets our needs. I have seen a few on the road but never even stepped inside of one. Not sure on the floor plan yet but its only the two of us who would be using primarily.

Hope to hear from some soon who is local - I am in Livermore Ca.

I am a fan of the Rialta, although I don't have one

there are 4 floorplans, each of which has advantages

Floor Plans & Specifications

the last few years of production have more powerful motors. they don't scream up mountains and maybe have to tuck into the slow lane with the big trucks, but maintain hwy speeds on the flats

pop top heaven in Yucaipa specializes in these and often has a few on the lot

Hey there, we have a 99 QD. My wife and I have been across country from Maine 5 times and in every Canadian province over the last 7 years as well as many short trips boondocking all over new England. We love it! Next trip we hope to hit Yellowknife, NW Territories.
Perfect size for two.

I have a 2003 Rialta and they maintain highway speeds even through the mountains. I have owned my for 5 years and still love it. It is a two person camper in my view though small grandchild fits fine.

Default Rialta mechanic

Can anyone suggest a good Rialta mechanic in the Bay Area or Sacramento area?

If you are talking about the engine and drivetrain, look for a VW or foreign car repair shop. Some VW dealers will work on it, drive train/engine. Or an independent repair shop.

Thank you for that suggestion. I am looking for engine mechanic this time (engine light). I have tried dealerships and VW shops and the only mechanic I have found that works on Rialtas books 6-8 weeks out. I am hoping to find more mechanics so that I have multiple options.

If anyone has a direct referral in NorCal of a Rialta mechanic, I would love to know who that is.

Go to AutoZone or other parts store and they have a scan tool to check what codes and problems you are having. Post the codes here and someone may have a solution or repair method for you. Some are easy and some are hard to repair. Depends on your skill level for repairs. Another note, I lived in Modesto for 17 years and auto crossed in Livermore in a 65' & 66' Corvair. Thats me on the left in 1974. Now live just south of Nashville, TN.

We have a MB Sprinter and live in Oakland. We have a good mechanic here who works on German cars. He has a special lift for high roof vans. Precision Motors in Oakland, address is 3068 Broadway. The owner is Erich and he was trained in Germany.
