Default Rust Problem behind trim


Anyone have a rust problem behind the trim? Went in for an oil change and mechanic pointed it out. I live in Minnesota and I know t he unit should be South in the winter-however, thats not the case. It has been driven around town in snow and slush--Minnesota spreads salt on highways in winter. Any suggestions on what to do?
